Povodom zatvaranja izložbe „Paralele“ Slobodana Vidovića i Radoslava Tadića, u Muzeju savremene umjetnosti Republike Srpske 8. februara predstavljena je prateća publikacija – katalog ove izložbe i održan muzičko-vizuelni performans.
The exhibition “Parallels” by Slobodan Vidović and Radoslav Tadić was closed on 8 February, by MSURS presenting the exhibition catalogue, as the official show publication, followed by a music and visual performance.
Along with extensive photographic documentation illustrating the two artists’ works and biographical data, the “Parallels” catalogue contains a text written by the exhibition curator Žana Vukičević. The text is comprehensive analytical interpretation of the distinct art practices of the two artists, who have worked simultaneously on the contemporary art scene of the Republic of Srpska over the last ten years, and it provides an insight into contemporary painting practices in the region.
Following the catalogue promotion, the audience saw a special music and visual performance, done by the band Zadruga (Cooperative). The band has existed for two years, and its members are Slobodan Vidović (drums, vocals), Nemanja Nikolić (guitar, bass guitar, vocals), and EBE – 3 (virtual vocals). Aside from scores written by the band members, the Zadruga also do musical improvisation and fuse rock with jazz and ethno punk, assisted by EBE, their supernatural vocalist.
