The Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska hosted a promotion of the first Banja Luka children’s fairy tale, "The Adventures of Tubby and Stretch", written by Jelena Kojović Tepić and illustrated by Dejan Mijatović.

 

Marcin Berdyszak is one of the middle generation of Polish visual artists. He has continuously been present on the Polish contemporary art scene, and has had solo shows in Germany, USA, Mexico, Finland, UK and Slovakia, and taken part in collaborative exhibitions worldwide. Since 1989, he has worked at the University of Arts in Poznań, where he is currently University rector.

 

The Project Biennial of Contemporary Art "D-0 АRК Underground" is a unique contemporary art project.

 

The 6th Regional Museum Meeting was organised by the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska in cooperation with the Regional Alliance of ICOM for South East Europe and the National Committee of ICOM Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

One of the events that accompanied the exhibition "Art and Power – Landscapes from the Josip Broz Tito Collection" was the screening of documentaries banned during the SFRJ and Josip Broz Tito’s rule.

 

The Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska marked the European Heritage Days with several events accompanying the exhibition "Art and Power – Landscapes from the Josip Broz Tito Collection".

 

The Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska presented its 2014 and 2015 at the 20th International Book Fair in Banja Luka, on the stand of the Republic of Srpska Institutions of Culture and the Republic of Srpska Publishers Association, sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska.

 

The Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska presented a video for the song "Information Era" of the Banja Luka music band SOPOT, produced by Play Team. The video was made in May 2015 during the concert SOPOT had in front of the building of MSURS, as part of the event "The European Night of Museums".

 

"Creating magical spaces is what painters are gifted for" was the third creative workshop for children held as part of the programme accompanying the exhibition "Belgrade by Jovan Bijelić".

 

"Being an actor isn’t easy, do give it a try" was the second creative workshop held as part of the programme accompanying the exhibition "Belgrade by Jovan Bijelić".

Four foreign students (Albina Tzintoli, Greece; Stratoula Skiadelli, Greece; Tuly Lavorsky, Brazil; Daria Piekutien, Poland) volunteered at the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska, as part of the “RevolutiON" volunteering programme organised by AIESEC.

 

As one of the events accompanying the exhibition "Belgrade by Jovan Bijelić", Lana Pilipović, senior curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska, took the visitors on a curator tour of the exhibition.

 

During the staging of the exhibition "Belgrade by Jovan Bijelić" the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska and Hypo Alpe Adria Bank held, in cooperation with the Gallery of Matica Srpska from Novi Sad, three creative workshops for children aged six to fourteen. The idea was to help children learn about the life and work of Jovan Bijelić in a way that would be interesting for them.

 

In an event jointly organised by MSURS and the U.S. Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the internationally renowned Native American dance group "Yellow Bird Productions" gave a unique performance on the platform in front of the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska.

 

Following an invitation of Ambassador Igor Davidović, head of the Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the EU, delegations of the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska and the Museum of the Republic of Srpska travelled to Brussels for an official visit organised by the Mission. The reason for the visit was the presentation of culture institutions of the Republic of Srpska and the building up of contacts to join projects in the frame of the EU programme "Creative Europe".

 

The creative workshop "Asking and Questioning" accompanied the Sigmar Polke exhibition "Music from an Unknown Source". This one-day workshop was aimed at secondary school and university students interested in questioning and analysing the meaning of Sigmar Polke’s works shown in the exhibition through theoretical and practical exercises, so as to put new interpretations on the art of this great European and world artist.

 

One of the events that took place during "Vlado S. Milošević Days" was Nataša Jokić’s guitar recital at the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska. The recital repertoire included works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Joaquín Turina, Alexandre Tansman and Leo Brouwer.

 

The workshop "Persons with Disabilities in Museums" was aimed at museum professionals, cultural workers, artists, NGO representatives, persons with disabilities, and associations and organisations gathering persons with disabilities.

 

One of the events accompanying the Vojin Bakić exhibition "Lightbearing Forms" was the curator tour led by Nataša Ivančević, museum advisor at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, who presented to the visitors the concept underlying the project.

 

The Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska celebrated its day with a news conference and release of "Inventory 2014", a publication with a summary of the wide range of MSURS activities in 2014.

 

A curator tour of the Vojin Bakić exhibition "Lightbearing Forms" was given by the MSURS senior curator Lana Pilipović.
