On 31 July, 1 and 2 August 2019, the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska staged a unique event, Gaming Nights @ MSURS, for video game aficionados.
More than 180 students from primary and secondary schools from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina (Banja Luka, Brčko, Brod, Bugojno, Doboj, Foča, Glamoč, Ilijaš, Kačuni - Busovača, Kalesija, Lukavac, Fojnica - Gojevići, Maglaj, Odžak, Prnjavor, Sarajevo, Srebrenik, Tuzla and Živinice) participated on April 4th in the fourth edition of the Festival of Museum Pedagogy (Night at the Museum) at the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska.
Realization of the project ’’Museums in Motion’’ started with the press conference at the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska, which was attended by Siniša Šešum, Director of UNESCO BiH Office, Sarita Vujković, PhD and Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska, Mirsad Sijarić, PhD and Director of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the curators of these two museums, Mladen Banjac and Samir Avdić, with the presence of directors of elementary schools, teachers and students.
The Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska hosted creative workshops for children called “Artmatika” on 25 January, as an event accompanying the “Parallels” exhibition.

Children’s workshop accompanying Grayson Perry’s “The Vanity of Small Differences”

A workshop was held for the youngest visitors of Grayson Perry’s “The Vanity of Small Differences”, which included a tour of the exhibition and an interactively held discussion about the exhibits, with a focus on the production techniques and the artworks that inspired the artist to make his tapestries, the meaning of representation and of subjective interpretation, and the creative and manual work involved in the making of the works.
The Lost Recipes of Dr. Rabbit is the third in the series of books of fairy tales titled The Adventures of Tubby and Stretch by children’t writer Jelena Kojović Tepić.

"Creating magical spaces is what painters are gifted for" was the third creative workshop for children held as part of the programme accompanying the exhibition "Belgrade by Jovan Bijelić".
"Being an actor isn’t easy, do give it a try" was the second creative workshop held as part of the programme accompanying the exhibition "Belgrade by Jovan Bijelić".
During the staging of the exhibition "Belgrade by Jovan Bijelić" the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska and Hypo Alpe Adria Bank held, in cooperation with the Gallery of Matica Srpska from Novi Sad, three creative workshops for children aged six to fourteen.
The creative workshop "Asking and Questioning" accompanied the Sigmar Polke exhibition "Music from an Unknown Source". This one-day workshop was aimed at secondary school and university students interested in questioning and analysing the meaning of Sigmar Polke’s works shown in the exhibition through theoretical and practical exercises, so as to put new interpretations on the art of this great European and world artist.
Seventy-one children took part in this one-day art workshop for preschoolers and young primary school children.
This was the second stop motion animation workshop organised by MSURS, and it brought together fifteen primary school pupils, students of the Dragaš School of Drawing and Painting.
The video workshop "Video Edition 01" was the first project of The Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska to initiate and support the production and promotion of video art.
The stop motion animation workshop held at the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska was the very first in a series of creative events for children.
