A series of interesting conversations and discussions on the topic of the position of women in art was continued on March 27 with our guest Niamh Coghlan, art historian and representative of the Richard Saulton Gallery, as part of the accompanying programme of the exhibition ’’Perceptions: The Beauty of a Flower Is in the Picking’’.
The specificity of this gallery lies in its programme titled 100% WOMEN which, since March of this year, included only female authors, and only female artists will be exhibiting throughout the year. Niamh Coghlan presented this initiative as well as the activities that will be included during the duration of the programme. During the discussion at the museum, our guest talked to visitors about the position of female authors in the art market, about improving the position of artists, about the commercial sector in the UK and the region, but also about gender inequality in the art world.
