In the spirit of the upcoming holidays, the PLUS Gallery- showroom of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Republic of Srpska, will hold a New Year's selling exhibition which will be opened on December 6th.

 

On September 21st, the European Heritage Day, but also the International Peace Day, an installation by the American artist of Bosnian origin Edina Seleskovic will be set up on the square in front of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Republic of Srpska

 

Gallery PLUS is a new showroom of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Republic of Srpska and it will officially be open on 26th August 2016, with the exhibition that shows works of local artists with which the Museum has already collaborated and whose works had previously been exhibited in the Museum's previous showroom.

U subotu 21. maja u okviru manifestacije Evropska Noć muzeja u MSU RS dodijeljene su nagrade pobjednicima likovnog konkursa na temu svemirskih istraživanja pod nazivom „Kako izgleda vaša budućnost?“.

 

Muzej savremene umjetnosti Republike Srpske u subotu 21. maja obilježava Evropsku Noć muzeja. Obilježavanje ove internacionalne manifestacije vezuje se za Međunarodni dan muzeja (18. maj), koji je ustanovljen 1977. godine od strane ICOM-a i svake godine fokusiran na različitu muzejsku temu.

 

As part of the celebration of 22nd of April- the City Day, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Republic of Srpska has received the award ''Plaque of the City of Banja Luka'' for outstanding achievements in the field of culture and art.

 

Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska had the opportunity to host Eng. Nagin Cox of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), who is a prominent member of the operating team for interplanetary research.

 

As part of the British artist Damien Hirst's exhibition ''New Religion'', which is organised by the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska in collaboration with the British Council and the Paul Stolper Gallery, an educational course for museum professionals will be organised on 14 and 15 March.

 

It is with great pleasure that the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska, Paul Stolper Gallery and the British Council announce the opening of the exhibition “New Religion" by the British artist Damien Hirst at the MSURS on 17 March 2016. Hirst, a winner of the coveted Turner Prize, is one of the world’s most influential, innovative and successful artists.

 

As part of the competition for the Zvono Award- an award for young artists from Bosnia and Herzegovina up to 35 years of age- Sarajevo Centre for Contemporary Art (SCCA), in collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska, is organising an informatory evening on Tuesday, 1st March at 19:00.

 

Curator tour through the exhibition ''Contemporary Thesaurus'' will be given by the Museum curator Žana Vukičević on Wednesday, 24 February at 19:00.

 

The publication titled "Space, Form, Touch" is a catalogue accompanying the exhibition of the same name held at the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska adapted for the blind and visually impaired. Meeting the standards of contemporary museology and professional challenges, MSURS succeeded in staging this exhibition, whose organisation proved to be one of its most demanding projects to date.
