Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska had the opportunity to host Eng. Nagin Cox of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), who is a prominent member of the operating team for interplanetary research.

''Journey to Mars: Dare to do Mighty Things'' is the name of the lecture in which Nagin Cox introduced the biggest success of her engineering team: successful launching and landing of the Mars Curiosity Rover on the planet Mars in 2012. This is considered by NASA as one of the most successful interplanetary attempts to explore the Red planet.

Nagin Cox graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering and was commissioned as an officer in the US Air Force.  In 1993, she joined the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and has since served as a systems engineer and manager on multiple interplanetary robotic missions including NASA/JPL’s Galileo mission to Jupiter, the Mars Exploration Rover Missions and the Kepler telescope mission to search for earth-like planets around other stars.

The lecture was organised as part of the accompanying programme of the exhibition ''Return to the Moon: A Brief History of Future'', with the support of the American Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
