of Republic of Srpska

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco visited The Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska.

During his two-day stay in Banja Luka, the visit protocol of this public figure included only one culture institution, MSURS. During his visit to the Museum the reigning monarch of the Principality of Monaco saw the exhibition "Dobrović, Šumanović, Konjović, Šuput – European Contexts".

During a thirty-minute guided tour of the exhibition, Sarita Vujković, Dr.Sc., Director of The Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska, presented to Prince Albert the history of MSURS, the major works in its collection, and the mission and vision of the Museum in regard to the contemporary art scene in the Republic of Srpska. The guided tour of the exhibition "European Contexts" was a chance for the distinguished guest to learn about the work of the four great Serbian painters of the first half of the 20th century.

More than 4,500 visitors saw the exhibition "European Contexts", and many were particularly interested in guided tours and speaking with the curators. This important and successful exhibition at The Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska was closed with the guided tour organised for H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
