The Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska and Banja Luka Gymnasium signed a cooperation agreement.
The first cooperation activity saw the launch of a volunteer programme for students during the exhibition ‘Light in the Darkness of WWI: The Highest Achievements of the Protagonists of Impressionism in Serbia’. More than 70 students of Banja Luka Gymnasium, both those following the National Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme, volunteered during the exhibition at MSURS.
Art historian Maša Davidović (MSURS) coordinated the volunteer project, and together with the volunteers themselves, she designed activities to accompany the exhibition and curator-led tours for primary school students.
Apart from the volunteer project, the cooperation agreement sees the collaboration of MSURS specialists and Banja Luka Gymnasiumon exhibition activities, engagement of Gymnasium students in dealing with MSURS visitors, organised visits of the teachers and students of Banja Luka Gymnasium to exhibitions and other events hosted by MSURS, as well as education and exchange of information according to mutual interests and needs.
