The Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska marked the European Heritage Days with several events accompanying the exhibition "Art and Power – Landscapes from the Josip Broz Tito Collection".

In keeping with the theme of the 2015 European Heritage Days, "Industrial and technical heritage", Ana Panić, author of the exhibition "Art and Power" and art historian and curator at the Museum of Yugoslav History, offered an author interpretation of the exhibition in a lecture called "Incorporating socialist industrial heritage in landscape".

The lecture referenced the numerous paintings of factories from Josip Broz Tito’s art collection, as well as the recent art practice of a generation of artists who based their work on the socialist-era industrial landscapes and modern architecture.

Along with the lecture, the visitors saw a presentation of the Museum of Yugoslav History by Mr.Sc. Neda Knežević, director of the Museum of Yugoslav History. Ms Knežević spoke about the history of this institution of national importance, its rich collections, which contain more than 75,000 items, the unique museum and memorial complex, and its programme of activities aimed at preserving the collections.

After the lecture and presentation, the visitors saw a documentary about the Josip Broz Tito Memorial Centre by Ištvan Bodžoni, about the foundation and history of the Museum of Yugoslav History.
